Quickly sort thousands of trail-camera photos into per-species folders. Easily sort out wind pictures, cattle and more to find the pictures you're looking for.
Sort trail-camera images completely offline using custom built and trained machine learning models that are more than 99% accurate. Blanks, livestock and every species get a folder of their own, and nothing is ever deleted.
Free to try. Sort up to 10,000 images. Windows 10/11. An NVIDIA GPU is strongly recommended. It runs on CPU-only PCs too, but is much slower. Try the free version to check the speed on your computer first.
Drop in all of your SD cards and let Rack Detector do the sorting, no manual filtering out bad images.
Wind, branches, and faulty cameras can lead to thousands and thousands of blank images that take forever to sort through. Every frame with nothing in it goes straight to its own blank folder, so you can ignore them or quickly look through them in bulk.
Do your cameras sometimes take thousands of images of cattle? With Rack Detector, cattle, sheep, goats and horses land in their own livestock folder. Save yourself an afternoon of scrolling through moo cow pictures.
Species are sorted into folders of their own: elk, mule deer, whitetail, birds, bears, mountain lion, human and more. You can now easily find the animals you're looking for.
Combine Folders, the app's second tab, merges any number of already-sorted runs into one set of species folders, so the camera ends up with one elk folder instead of four.
Files are prefixed in card order, so a name sort stays chronological and nothing overwrites anything. Each source folder is only removed once it has been checked empty.
Two demos: sorting a fresh card, and merging several that are already sorted.
